Mark Rogers said it was just notes.

'Need to flesh it out like your love handles.'

I was in love with my writing.

'I wanked for eight hours on the first night.'

Man, this was moving stuff.

I was breaking new ground.

And Gartland said, with the right editor, 'it could be the best New York Times seller.'

I believed him and I paid him to knock the book of notes into  shape.

When he did his magic trick of transposing duromine to gropamine, I thought for a moment, 'perhaps he really does care about my writing.'

He cared about the money. So much so that he didn't tell me my writing was crap.

I had fallen for my infallibility and John Gartland exploited that.

Kudos to him.
