I believed him and I paid him to knock the book of notes into shape.
When he did his magic trick of transposing duromine to gropamine, I thought for a moment, 'perhaps he really does care about my writing.'
He cared about the money. So much so that he didn't tell me my writing was crap.
I had fallen for my infallibility and John Gartland exploited that.
