INT. DOUG'S VAN - DAY

Doug and Tom are seated in the van, a sinister atmosphere surrounding them. Tom, having spent five monsoonal seasons working with crocodiles in Arnhem Land, has discovered a crucial piece of legislation regarding the rights of First Nation people.

TOM

(leaning in, voice low)

You know, Doug, during my time in Arnhem Land, I learned that the indigenous people there didn't need licenses for fishing or permission to stay on crown land. I think we can use this knowledge to our advantage.

DOUG

(raising an eyebrow)

So, what are you planning, Tom?

TOM

(grinning)

I'll argue that the rights of indigenous people from Arnhem Land should extend to Pelican Park in Clontarf, Brisbane. It's a long shot, but it might just work.

EXT. PELICAN PARK - DAY

Tom, armed with his newfound plan, marches with determination toward the council office, a newfound swagger in his step.

INT. COUNCIL OFFICE - DAY

Tom enters the council office, confidently approaching the COUNCIL WORKER.

TOM

(voice strong and assertive)

Excuse me, I'd like to discuss a matter concerning the rights of First Nation people from Arnhem Land. Specifically, our rights to fish without licenses and to stay on crown land. I believe these rights are  extended To first nation   people at Pelican Park in Clontarf, Brisbane.

COUNCIL WORKER

(looking confused)

Uh, I'm not familiar with that. Could you please clarify?

Tom pulls out a piece of paper with the legislation written on it and hands it to the council worker.

TOM

This is the legislation I'm referring to. I suggest you familiarize yourself with it, as it directly affects the rights of the people you're trying to evict from Pelican Park. You might want to reconsider your actions.

The council worker reads the legislation, growing visibly uneasy as they realize the potential implications.

FADE OUT.
