So, Doug and I are hanging out at Pelican Park using it as our Men's Shed. Doug's got his grinder out and is getting the rust off a bike he found. He's really into his hobbies, you know? Meanwhile, Andy, the trucker, is here but he's not really feeling the whole driving dump trucks thing.

Doug just got his van fixed up for $120 but he's still complaining that it should have been cheaper since it only took ten minutes. He could have just used a similar van from the scrapyard he says. He also kicked in the driver's side window which he's now boarded up. I'm just parking my car in the shade and joking that the frying pan got caught in the back wheel.

We're all just chilling and taking in the cool breeze at Pelican Park. It's a nice little island with a boat ramp. Everything seems peaceful for now but I've got a feeling a storm is brewing. I tell the guys that the council might show up any moment with their heavy guns, but Doug says that the letter I  wrote to them has calmed them down - at least for now.

Andy suggests that we head down to the Hub which is a homeless network. He says I should register as homeless so that the rangers won't give me  a move on order or a ticket. Doug agrees, saying that once the Hub finds out about any tickets issued, if we on the register, they'll throw the ticket in the bin. We're also going to the Hub for a hot meal. Living out of a car is tough but it's definitely cheaper than renting, and at least we're not dealing with those greedy landlords who are protected by the government.

Andy spits on the car park as his little act of rebellion. But hey, at least we're having a good time here at Pelican Park. The afternoon is dragging on but we've got each other's company.
