Subject: Request to Join Class Action Lawsuit - Optus and Medibank Data Breaches
Dear Maurice Blackburn Lawyers,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Ivan Brecevic and I am writing to express my interest in joining the class-action lawsuit against Optus and Medibank concerning their recent data breaches. As a victim of both breaches, I have experienced significant financial losses, inconvenience, and emotional distress.
In the Optus data breach, my personal and financial information was compromised, leading to unauthorized access to my accounts and the theft of my funds. As a result, I had to replace my passport, which was also part of the leaked data. Despite the substantial inconvenience and financial impact, Optus has not taken responsibility for the breach or compensated me for my losses.
The Medibank data breach has had equally severe consequences. When I expressed my concerns about the security of my financial information and requested alternative payment methods, Medibank canceled my policy instead of providing assistance. Sadly, my fears were realized when hackers used my compromised data to make fraudulent purchases, including a PlayStation from Wish.com.
Given the significant impact these breaches have had on my life and the lives of countless others, I believe that joining the class-action lawsuit is a crucial step in holding Optus and Medibank accountable for their negligence in protecting customers' sensitive information. I am eager to be part of this collective effort to seek justice and compensation for the financial and emotional hardships we have endured.
Please advise me on the necessary steps to join the class-action lawsuit and any additional information you may require from me. I am committed to seeing this process through and am confident that, together, we can make a meaningful difference for those affected by these breaches.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response and the opportunity to work together in pursuit of justice.
Sincerely,
Ivan Brecevic
