FADE IN:
EXT. ANCIENT MAYAN TEMPLE - DAY
The sun beats down on the ancient Mayan temple. The temple is bustling with activity as the Mayans prepare for a human sacrifice.
CUT TO:
INT. THE TEMPLE - DAY
The Mayans gather around a large stone altar as the High Priest, adorned in elaborate robes, prepares for the sacrifice. The High Priest holds a cup of oil in his hand.
HIGH PRIEST
(voice echoing)
"Great gods, we offer this sacrifice to you. May it appease your wrath and bring us good fortune."
The sacrificial victim, a young man, is brought forward and placed on the altar. The High Priest pours the oil over the man's body.
SACRIFICIAL VICTIM
(pleading)
"Please, please spare me!"
The Mayans watch as the High Priest raises his obsidian knife above the victim.
Suddenly, a voice booms from above.
VOICE
(distorted)
"Stop this madness!"
The Mayans look up in awe as a UFO hovers above the temple. The craft is unlike anything they've ever seen before.
The Mayans fall to their knees in fear and awe.
HIGH PRIEST
(trembling)
"Who are you? What do you want?"
VOICE
(calming)
"We are not your gods, but we have come to bring you knowledge."
The doors to the temple burst open and a group of Mayan warriors rush in, spears at the ready.
Mayan gods suddenly appear and start attacking the UFO. A massive battle ensues.
One of the gods is about to strike the craft with a bolt of lightning, but suddenly stops.
GOD
(surprised)
"This craft is not of this world."
The battle comes to an abrupt end as the UFO disappears into the sky.
The Mayans are left staring up at the sky, wondering what other secrets the gods are hiding from them.
FADE OUT.
