Felix can't get enough of the kill.
Call it snuff, call it horror, there's some disturbing deaths in this book.
He's the kind of kid who tormented and then killed his pets.
If it's gore you want, then read Fear Inducer. And if it's more mainline horror, then lap up the gore illustrations the author has kindly included.
Peter Jackson should be reading this. He should be adapting it into a script. There's nothing precious about this book. There are no cute golems who have been cheated in life.
This is a proactive approach to right a few wrongs.
Pushed as a child to excel, Felix eventually killed his parents.
From being their guinea pig, his parents became the guinea pigs.
You gotta admire the guy.
He doesn't want recognition.
He only wants to satisfy his hunger for self-inflicted death.
He won't lift a finger. It's all suggestion.
The power of suggestion is a big factor in this book.
The secret is to resist it and listen to your inner voice.
Just say no to all the negativity out there.
This book is a send-up of many of the patients on sickness benefits.
Their life has died the day they signed up to their phobia.
If you are over-gored out, choose the chapters that float your boat, or even skip them, really the author won't be offended.
Felix got a hard on once or twice in the book.
The swamp is filling up with bodies.
But Felix is the outstanding materialist in society.
It's always the straight-laced and respectable types who drink frappucinos you gotta watch out for.
This is Auckland as you have never seen it.
The author has tapped into the evil undercurrent that is only a scratch away from the surface.
Some nice character sketches in the book. The Mauri, a big lad, doesn't even escape Felix's den of inequity. I loved the hot trailer trash with the 36 DD hooters. And the nymphomaniac who died earlier on in the book. Having her escape and slaying Felix would have ended this horror franchise, so alas, she was slain.
So if you see a guy in Raybans, driving a new Merc, and he says he's a doctor, think twice about taking up an offer of a free consultation. It could mean a very quick demise.
