“I’ve been left out in the open, exposed.”

That is how I describe my position. The account below places my community contribution alongside the practical cost of keeping a vehicle running when it also serves as shelter. Those circumstances belong in the same record.

1. Three Months of Community Service in Adelaide

I describe a sustained three-month commitment to voluntary community work with Faith Works Food Assist in Adelaide, helping with food distribution and operational logistics. My account includes helping manage and coordinate that work while dealing with my own housing insecurity.

The supporting material I identify includes a Faith Works Food Assist card described as issued in July 2026, together with registration and service records. The card and any available logs will be attached so readers can assess what each establishes about my role and the period of service. A registration card alone should not be treated as a complete attendance record.

2. The Transport and Housing Ledger

During this period, my vehicle functioned as both transport and primary shelter. Rental and maintenance costs therefore affected more than my ability to travel: they affected whether I could keep the place where I was sleeping available and operational.

  • Vehicle costs: I identify a $220.00 car-rental transfer dated July 2026 among the records to be attached. The receipt should be read for its exact date, payment description and rental period; one payment does not establish the total cost of maintaining the vehicle.
  • Housing application: I identify housing application reference 5549774. The application card will provide a reference point for the housing history. The reference alone does not establish the application’s current status or a housing offer.

3. The Administrative Pressure

My account is that I faced demands to surrender my primary transport while depending on that vehicle for shelter. I believe my community contribution was overlooked in the administrative response. The relevant correspondence or records of those directions should be read alongside the rental, housing and volunteer records to establish who said what, when, and what alternative was offered.

When a vehicle is the place where someone sleeps, a direction to give it up has consequences for shelter as well as transport. Any assessment of that direction needs to identify the actual housing alternative available at the time.

My volunteer work belongs in the account of how I was living and contributing. My need for safe shelter does not depend on having performed that work. Both the contribution and the housing insecurity deserve an accurate record.

4. Supporting Evidence Register

  • Faith Works material: registration card and any available service logs, to clarify the role and duration of voluntary work.
  • Vehicle expenditure: rental receipts, transfers and maintenance records, to establish amounts, dates and what each payment covered.
  • Food-relief activity: relevant Coles distribution cards or supply records, with an explanation of what each records. These should not automatically be treated as personal expenditure.
  • Housing: application card and subsequent correspondence, to establish the application history and any offers or decisions.
  • Administrative directions: correspondence or contemporaneous notes concerning the vehicle, including the reason given and any alternative shelter proposed.

The purpose of bringing these materials together is to make the circumstances visible: community work, the cost of keeping transport and shelter available, and the administrative decisions affecting both. The images will allow readers to examine the supporting record rather than rely on description alone.
