To the accusation that Starlink is ruining light for astronomers who want to detect any rogue meteors and comments, Elon Musk responds on the positive.
'Got it covered, our satellites also connect up collectively and scan the skies.'
It's the worlds largest telescope?
'You got it,' said Elon,' but we don't advertise that fact unless someone asks.'
Meanwhile the naysayers continue to pan the project.
'They would,' said Musk,' envy, that's all it is. I own a rocket company so I can say what goes up and what doesn't. Telcos will be at my knees before you can say Dath Vater.'
We have been critical of Musk in the past.
His torpedo stunt and going off at the mouth at one of the cave divers didn't win him many fans.
Or did it?
But Starlink, which when it's complete will blanket the earth with over 42 000 satellites, will be a game-changer.
Each satellite is the size of a desk. Musk is only telling us so much on his website, Starlink.
It's what is value added to the satellites that counts.
'Deathray guns, you mean?'
Exactly, Elon, exactly.
'Deathray guns that can take out geostationary orbit satelites.'
Ahh, not only is NASA subsidizing you, so is the US Military.
Elon Musk is well on the way to burying the traditional telcos.
'No more cables that are killing the whales, no more on land cables that are ruining the environment.'
What about stargazing and light pollution?
'As I alluded to before, no one looks up at the stars, we both know that.'
I get it.
You have enemies too.
I sent this link to Elon and he said I could join the beta testers.
'Since you saw the big picture, we'll throw in the dish for free.'
Elon Musk is a swell guy and a great face for the US military and NASA.
One last question?
"Go ahead.'
Can you control the skies now with your krypton propelled satelites?
'Another great question,' smiles Elon. 'Our satellites work on the starling bird principle, they can take on any form in the sky, flying on mass to block any payloads going up in the sky. Does that answer your question?
Thanks for your time Mr. Musk.
