I'm getting pretty good at speed reading.

Must be the speed in the diet tablets I'm taking.

As you might already know, Jake Needham has published his book MONGKOK STATION.

Now though I read fast, I'm thorough.

I have a great retention rate of things that take my fancy.

Like hooters, ghost festivals.

I'm also a big fan of the atmosphere.

Jake Needham takes the reader there, where ever there may be, but rest assured, you will be taken there, whether you like it or not.

You bought the ticket right?

So take the fucking ride.

Just don't' forget to wear a gas mask.

A ride from the airport into Hong Kong is the closest thing to a rollercoaster ride in a dystopian theme park.

Surely this can't be staged.

Surely it isn't dangerous.

Our senses are lulled.

It's the armored Beatles against the Pray Mantis' wielding umbrellas, a warped Wayang puppet match between the Right and the Left.

Sorry, wrong book, that was The Year of Living Dangerously.

Jake has self-published this book.

It's become very timely.

So timely that it's still playing out.

He's getting it out in time.

He's not waiting for publishers to take their time about it.

Tay and Shepard partner up.

We hardly hear of August.

Tay is still a grumpy fuck.

Loves his nicotine.

Hates American basketball.

And loves houses in little quiet lanes where he can smoke in his courtyard, and perhaps communicate with his deceased mother.

Hallucinations.

Is Tay hallucinating?

A great scene in the book of the CT scan.

Jake likes to take his time and make sure he's described it to the best of his ability, in the only way he knows, witty and informative.

You may wonder why Tay is having a CT scan.

Then read the book.

Shephard just doesn't seem himself in the book.

Maybe he's tired and weary.

Jaded.

Bored.

So as you might have gathered, this is Tay's gig.

Tay teams up with Claire, from The Girl in the Window. Remember that book, great shoot out scene at the end in Tay's apartment?

And I think, not sure, it was Tay's first kill.

Listen, the more time I take talking about this book, the less time you have of buying it.

I'd have to say, this could be Jake Needham's masterpiece.

And for the first time, he's satisfied fans of both of his series.

Not bad, considering that either Tay or Shephard, were most likely slated for early retirement.

Thanks, Jake for keeping them both going.

It meant a lot to us fans.
